Krestovsky fled 1909 from his exile in Siberia to Krakow and in 1910 he went to Paris, In 1912 he briefly studied at the Académie de Peinture, at the Académie Julian under Laurens and at the Académie Ranson under Denis. In 1913 to 1914 he studied at the Grande Chaumiere under Bourdelle. As a soldier in the first world-war he was killed in the winter of 1914/15
