Kozlinskii studied in Petrograd at the Zaitseva School of Drawing under Dobujinsky and Bakst and later, 1911-1917, at the Imperial Academy under Mate. He was founder and head of the Rosta windows to which Maiakovskii attributed. He lived and worked from the mid-1920s in Moscow.
