Kozintsova, sister of the filmmaker Grigorii Kozintsov and wife of the famous writer Ilia Erenburg, studied art at Alexandra Exter's studio in Kiev in 1918 and 1919, and at the Moscow Vkhutemas under R. Falk and A. Ridchenko in 1920 and 1921. In the 1920s she travelled all over Europe, with her husband, and had many exhibitions. In the 1930s she started working as a graphic artist and illustrator.
