Korsakov studied 1918-1920 at the Nizhnii Novgorod Art School before moving to Moscow in 1921. She worked as a draughts woman and illustrator before she began working for the theatre at the beginning of the war. In 1944 she met with Vladimir Tatlin and became his companion until his death in 1953.
