Kogan studied 1897 in Odessa and went 1903 to Munich and studied at the Academy under Rümann. In 1909 he participated to the Berlin 'Sezession' In 1924 he moved to Paris after a short stay in Deurne, Netherlands. On February 22nd he was deported from Paris by the Germans.
