During the War Keleinikov fought at the Karelian front. After the war, in 1945, he entered the Faculty of Biology of the Moscow University and graduated in 1950. He worked as an ornithologists for three years and studied during those years graphic art at the studio of Georg Nikolskii in Moscow. In 1956 he devoted himself to animal studies. He illustrated over 150 books about animal life, including many children's books for the Moscow Publishers Detgiz and Malysh. |
