Nina and her sister Nadezhda originated from a family of artist. Nina studied 1922-1929 at the Vkutemas-Vkhutein in Moscow under K. Istomin, V. Favorskii and N. Kupreianov. Together with Nadezhda she joint 1929-1932 the group ' 13'  Nina illustrated children's book for the Moscow State Publisher sometimes using the pseudonym Nina Pamiatnykh. She lived and worked in Moscow.
