Matie herring. A spicy, salted essay by Karasik is a

short text expressing his appreciation of this tasty

Dutch way of preparing young herring. The text is

handset letterpress printed on a package of 7 paper

plates that typically are used to serve the herring when

sold from a stall. The plates are screwed together and

kept in a black paper slipcase upon which a paper

herring-label has been mounted. The 30 copy edition

includes an appendix with an English translation of the

text.
