Born Leningrad, 4 November 1935

Kapustina studied 1948-1955 at the Lenigrad Art School and 1955-1961 at the Leningrad Art Institute under Ovchennikov. She designed and illustrated children's book voor the publisher Detskaia literatura, and the Kiev based publishing house Veselka. She designed illustrations for the children's magazine Koster.
