Murzilka is an illustrated literary and art monthly published since May 1924 and addresses to children from 6 to 12 years old. The magazine published works of Soviet writers, popular science articles, articles about the pioneer movement in the country. In 2011 the magazine was entered in the Guiness Book of Records as the longest existing magazine for children. Between 1960 and 1987 Kabakov contributed to sixty nine issues of this magazine.
