Iznar studied from 1912 to 1917 at the Petersburg Stieglitz Institute under M. Dobujinsky, D. Kardovskii and K. Petrov-Vodkin. In 1922 she settled in Moscow and started working for the Moscow Art Theatre. In 1937 she was send to the GULAG for 8 years. In 1947 she returned and worked as a scenographer for the Theatre in Vladimir.
