The sparkle was a monthly children's magazine published by the Working Moscow publishing house from 1924 to 1932. The magazine had a beautiful design by well known artists and an good printing quality. In 1932 it became the organ of the Central Bureau of Young Pioneers and was printed by the State Publishing house Young guard. Many issues had an inlay: a do-it-yourself cut-out print for children. Among the illustrators were artists as Vasilii Bordichenko (1897-1982), Paula Feinberg (1890-1938), Klavdiya Kozlova (1902-1966), Nikolai Kupreyanov (1894-1933), Konstantin Kuznetsov (1886-1943), Margarita Mikhaelis (1898-1981), Vladimir Suteev (1903-1993) and most prominent Aleksandr Deineka (1899-1969), Vladimir Lebedev (1891-1967) and David Shterenberg (1881-1948). Published were 8 issues in 1924 and 12 issues per year from 1925 to 1933 (total 104 issues).
