Grigoriants graduated from the Krasnodar technical school in 1925. From 1925 to 1929 he studied at the Leningrad Vkhutemas under V. Konshevich, D. Mitrokhin, and P. Shilingovskii. He was one of the founders of the Leningrad Union of Artists. He worked mainly as an illustrator and designer of books. He lived and worked in Leningrad.
