Andrei Chemodanov (born 1969) studied for a short period Medicine in Leningrad before he returned Moscow where he in 1997 graduated from the Gorky Literary Institute. He started writing poetry in 1990 but stopped writing in 1995. After a 5 year break he returned to poetry, having rid himself of many influences and finding the strength not to succumb to the charm of someone else’s style, as he declared himself. He is the creator of the strophic free verse which consists of a series of strophes that individually contain free verses but are all equal in number of rows, number of syllables and accents. For this collection of free verses Goppe designed a set of collages that are reproduced in silk screen technique. This artist’s book is part of the special edition of this catalogue. Part of the special edition of the 2017 catalogue Viktor Goppe Making Books. The original model of the book is added.
