‘Autumn of an Academic’ written by the journalist, poet and translator Andrei Vaganov, is a selection from the diaries of the academic Sergei Vavilov (1891-1951), the founder of the Soviet school of physical optics and member of the Supreme Soviet and a recipient of four Stalin prizes. The covers of this book are two pages from a vintage photo-album complete with inserted vintage photographs. To the verses Goppe designed eight linocuts similar in style to other publications of 2015
