‘The glue-bottle’ is a poem by Konstantin Kedrov (born 1942) about a glue bottle that you should not climb into, as the poet did. After he finds that a glue-bottle is like your brain and that all sticks together. If you throw the bottle into the sea, you don’t know whether it was the bottle, or yourself that has been thrown away. Goppe designed four linocuts: three where printed on loose sheets and one on front of the folder. Goppe completed the linocuts with the text of the poem, written in Indian ink by hand.
