Grigory Gluckmann studied untill 1917 at the School of Fine Arts in Moscow. After the revolution he went to Germany, where he continued his art studies. He settled in Parijs in 1924 where he had his first one-man exhibition at the Galerie Druet. His first American exhibition was held in 1937. From the 1940's he was represented by the Dalzell Hatfield galleries in Los Angeles.
