| Gavrilov studied from 1938 to 1942 at the Moscow Intermediate Arts School, and from 1945 to 1951 at the Moscow Surikov Institute. Gavrilov was one of the outstanding realist painter of the 1960s. He worked in Moscow and Kalinin. |
