Olga Florenskaia and her husband Aleksandr both belong to the founders of the Mitki group, the association of artists that since 1985 has become well known and has grown quite beloved in their own city of St. Petersburg. The group is admired for a multitude of reasons: their ideology is similar to that of the good old common man, their language is clear, their relationship with art evokes myriad pleasant associations. More over the artists have a place in the heart of the city dweller because they provide a chronicle of his feelings and the world he lives in. The story of the little stray dog Jerry with itís illustrations and book design by Olga and Aleksandr Florenskii is quite typical.
