From 1977 to 1982 Florenskaia studied at the ceramics department of the Leningrad Mukhina Art College. Together with her husband Aleksandr Florenskii she belonged to the founders of the group Mitki in 1985. In 1994 both belonged also to the organizers of the publishing group Mitkilibris.
