Eliseev studied from 1910 to 1914 in St. Petersburg at the OPKh under Bilibin  and in 1922 and 1923 at the Moscow VKhUTEMAS under Pavlov. He worked as a satirical graphic artist for the journals Bezbozhnik, Begemot and Krokodil.
