Deineka studied first at the Kharkov Art College and later in Moscow at the Vkhutemas under Favorskii. He became one of the founding members of 'OST' the society of easel painters, the group that was to beame the state sociate of painting. Deineka became one of the prominent artists of socialist realism and was awarded the title of People's Artist of the Soviet Union. |
