Choultsé Studied in St. Petersburg under K. Ya. Kryzhitsky. He was foremost a landscape painter. Together with Kryzhitsky he made two trips to Norway. He was a member of the Association of Artists (1912-1917). From 1917 to 1919) he travelled to Europe before returning to Russia. In 1921 he emigrated and settled in Paris. He worked for a long time in England and the USA, where his works were sold more successfully. He is buried in Nice.
