Born Pavlograd (Ukraine), 30 December 1889

Died Moscow, 9 May 1951

 

Chernikhov studied 1907-14 at the Art School in Odessa; 1914-17 he studied at the Imperial Academy in Petrograd. In 1916 he transferred to the Architecture Faculty 1922 he studied architecture under Leontii Benua. 1923-1936 he taught in Leningrad. In 1938 he was forced to leave Leningrad and moved to Moscow where he taught at the Faculty of Industrial Architecture.
