Died Villeneuf-Saint-Georges, 24 November 1975

Charchoune studie 1905-10 at the Institute for Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in Moscow under I. Mashkov. In 1912 he went to Paris and studied at the Academy of Marie Vasilieff and at the Academedy de la Palette. In 1914-17 he resided in Barcelona and from 1922-23 in Berlin. He was a member of the DADA movement.
