|
The Artists Society Jack of Diamonds, the largest creative association of the early avant-garde, existed from 1910 to 1917. The artists of the group broke with the traditions of realistic painting and rejected the traditions of the 19th century. Plastic solutions in the style of post-impressionism, fauvism and cubism are characteristic of their creativity. Among its founders (and the most prominent artists) are Petr Konchalovsky , Ilya Mashkov, Mikhail Larionov, Aristarkh Lentulov, Natalia Goncharova. The name Jack of Diamonds resulted from a scandalous exhibition, which took place in Moscow in December 1910 till January 1911. The group existed until December 1917. |
