Died Moscow, 8 November 1905

Borisov-Musatov studied  1894-95 at the Moscow School of painting, sculpture and architecture and 1895-1898 at the Fernand Cormon Academie in Paris. After his return to Russia he became its most famous symbolist painter. He died of a heart attack in 1905.
