Bordichenko graduated in 1920 from the Rostov Art School. From 1922 to 1929 he studied in the studio of D. Kardovskii. In 1935 he designed mosaics for the Moscow metro.  In the 1930's he also started illustrating children's books for the publisher Detgiz and others. He lived and worked in Moscow.
