Born Botushany (Moldavia), 20 April 1923

Died St. Petersburg, 29 March 2010

Bogdesko was drafted into the red Army in 1942 before he could study at the Leningrad Repin Institute where he graduated in 1953. After he worked in the Moldavian SSR becoming the chief  illustrator of Moldavian literature. From 1977 to 1987 he was chairman of the Union of Moldavian Artists. He illustrated over 100 books
