Bobrov studied 1904 to 1909 at an unnamed art school. He became a member of the group The Donkey's Tail with Goncharova and Larionov. He designed book covers for the publishing house Tsentrifuga. After the revolution he worked as a writer and wrote about mathematics and Eugene Delacroix.
