Baizerman son of an itinerant harness maker, studied in 1904 and 1905 at the Odessa Art School. In 1909 he left, as a political fugitive, Russia for England. In 1910 he settled in New York working in odd jobs at day and attending art school at night.  Around 1921 he married the painter  Eugenie Silverman with whom he travelled trough Europe and exhibited in Paris.
