Before the first World War Alpert studied, together with his brother Mikhail Alperin in Odessa. After the revolution het worked as a photo-journalist for the Moscow Rabochaia gazeta. In the 1930s he worked for the Pravda and photgraphed numerous construction sites. During the second World War Alpert made a number of iconic pictures at the frontline, documenting military events in Berlin and Prague. After the war he worked for Novosti. |
