Died Moscow, 1 May 1961

Studied 1909-1910 at the Moscow College of Painting under Ivanov. Took part in exhibitions in Riazan and Kozlov starting from 1910. Worked 1917 as a designer in Riazan and Kozlov. After the revolution he became a member of the IZO-Narkompros; 1918-1921 he taught at the Free Art Studios in Iaroslavl. From 1922 on he worked in Moscow as a graphic artist. He took part in exhibitions abroad: 1927 in Leipzig and 1929 in Amsterdam.
