Born Moscow, 12 January 1953

Nikita Alekseev (= Aleksei Nikitin) studied 1968-1972 at the 1905 Art College in Moscow at the department of Industrial Graphics and Advertising and from 1973 to 1976 at the Moscow Polygraphic Institute. He was a leading member of collective actions group and founder of the first AptArt gallery (apartment art gallery). From 1987 to 1993 he lived and worked in France. Now he  lives and works in Moscow.
