Adlivankin studied from 1912 to 1917 at the Odessa Art School under k. Kostandi. In 1918 and 1919 he studied under Tatlin at the Moscow Vkutemas (Free Art Studios). He was a founder member of the NOZh (New society of painters) and took inspiration from the paintings of A. Rodchenko and L. Popova. He illustrated for several magazine such as Krasnaia zvezda (Red star) and Bezboshnik (The Atheist). Together with Maiakovskii he designed political and satirical posters. |
